Supply Chain Management at GEODIS

Within GEODIS, Supply Chain Management is a strategic 4PL service designed to orchestrate and optimize the entire supply chain on behalf of customers. By acting as a neutral control tower, it coordinates multiplepartners, transport modes, and systems to deliver end-to-end visibility,improve performance, and create value through data-driven decision-making.

A Multimodal Global Partnership

Shippeo supports GEODIS for thousands of road transport orders and ocean containers per year. Numerous carriers are currently onboarded to Shippeo by GEODIS. The two companies began working together in 2022, with a focus on FTL flows, in EMEA and North America (Mexico, US and Canada). Many new initiatives are ongoing: CO2 calculation, RoRo, E2E visibility, Global map for Ocean freight, and predictive ETAs.

Solving specific pain points

GEODIS turned to Shippeo to:

  • Reduce effort of collecting data related to visibility
  • Standardize exchanges and data with a Supply Chain oriented model, in a One-Stop-Shop collaboration
  • Capitalize on real-time information to improve loading or delivery planification, and generate useful operational alerts
  • Use GEODIS’ global footprint to connect/onboard new carriers.
