Viaposte, a subsidiary of Groupe La Poste, is at the forefront of logistics management in France, operating an extensive network that facilitates transportation 24/7, 365 days a year. Coordinating approximately 5,000 road connections and 22,000 transport orders daily across 500 different carriers presents significant challenges in maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The lack of advanced real-time visibility into deliveries resulted in their administrative teams dedicating excessive time to manual processes, which impeded their ability to effectively manage disruptions, especially during odd hours. This not only affected productivity but also hindered their responsiveness to critical logistical issues.
With the implementation of Shippeo’s Real-Time Visibility Control Tower, Viaposte has modernized its logistics operations. The platform enables them to display real-time data through a multi-screen projection system, providing insights on traffic conditions, truck geolocation, and estimated arrival time updates. This proactive approach allows for swift responses to potential disruptions and facilitates instant communication of estimated arrival times to clients, empowering them to adjust their production schedules accordingly.
The deployment of Shippeo’s solution has improved service levels and reduced transportation costs by decreasing waiting times and enhancing resource planning. With the ability to measure carrier performance, Viaposte ensures all partners meet delivery standards, further enhancing operational efficiency.
