Shippeo Empowers Proactive Supply Chains with Advanced Features

This release introduces a suite of innovative features across Ocean, Road, and Parcel Visibility solutions, as well as enhancements to its mobile application and notification builder, reinforcing Shippeo’s commitment to providing the most accurate and reliable data in the industry.

New booking and MBL pages in Shippeo’s Ocean Visibility solution offer a cleaner view of shipments with container grouping, as well as detailed insights and shareable links. Tracking by booking number instead of container number allows for earlier visibility, enabling more proactive management and better anticipation of disruptions. The enhanced Road Visibility solutions ensure more accurate ETAs, while the mobile app updates, including eCMR generation, improve driver collaboration and efficiency. Shippeo is also introducing WhatsApp notifications – a groundbreaking first for visibility platforms – offering stakeholders increased flexibility and more dependable communication than SMS in numerous regions.

Shippeo is also making life easier for drivers when tracking shipment positions using a mobile app instead of onboard telematics. Visibility platforms usually require drivers to enter complicated shipment references in order for shipment tracking to be activated, especially for spot transport. Viewed as an industry first, Shippeo can now simply generate a link, allowing drivers to start tracking in one tap.

Key Highlights of the Spring Platform Update:

  • Ocean Visibility Enhancements:
    • Booking and Master Bill of Lading (MBL) Tracking: Track shipments using MBL or booking numbers, alongside SCAC codes, for earlier visibility and improved management.
    • Carbon Emissions Data via API: Enterprise users can now access detailed carbon emissions data, including Tank-to-Wheel, Well-to-Tank, and Well-to-Wheel emissions, via the Events-out API, supporting sustainability initiatives.
  • Road Visibility Improvements:
    • Enhanced ETA Accuracy: Improved delay filtering, inclusion of carrier ETAs, and optimized ETA calculations for active shipments ensure greater accuracy.
    • Parcel Appointment Scheduling: Carriers can now schedule appointments for parcel shipments, both individually and in bulk.
  • Mobile Application Updates:
    • Electronic Consignment Notes (eCMRs): Generate eCMRs directly from the mobile app, capturing all essential data and signatures.
    • Driver Tracking Link Sharing: Share tracking links with drivers for real-time location and ETA updates.
  • Notification Builder Enhancement:
    • WhatsApp Notifications: Send notifications via WhatsApp, in addition to email and SMS, for more flexible communication with stakeholders.
