Rotterdam/Paris, 1 April 2021– Shippeo, the European market leader in real-time transport visibility (RTTV) solutions, is today exchanging its Benelux office at Schiphol for the Millennium Tower in the elegant heart of Rotterdam.
Shippeo is experiencing enormous growth with its software platform, thanks to the increasing demand for real-time information about deliveries in the B2B supply chain. Shippeo’s customers can work more productively and in a more customer-centric way because they continuously know where deliveries are located and what the expected arrival time (ETA) is. The COVID-19 crisis brought the importance of RTTV into focus and Gartner predicts that by 2023 50% of the product-oriented companies will have adopted an RTTV solution.
Battery Ventures invested in Shippeo earlier this year, bringing Shippeo’s total capital invested to $ 71M since it was founded in 2014.
The new Benelux office is located in the Millennium Tower, opposite Rotterdam Central Station. The prestigious building also houses the 5-star Marriott Hotel with restaurant The Millèn, a culinary hotspot. The central location positions the new office just 25 minutes from Schiphol Airport and with Rotterdam Central Station on its doorstep, international train services including Thalys, Deutsche Bahn and Eurostar are conveniently located. The Thalys to Paris, where Shippeo’s headquarters are located, takes just 158 minutes.
“Dennis van Bodegom, Director of Shippeo Northern Europe: “We are very enthusiastic about this new inspiring working environment. Rotterdam suits us well; with some 450 million tons of transshipment, it is by far the largest port city in Europe and there is a great need for real-time insight into the transport execution. Our office is located on the 16th floor, so we have a spectacular view of the skyline. From here the growing team will further help our customers in the Benelux, Scandinavia, Great Britain and Ireland to accelerate their digital transformation, to become more efficient, customer-oriented and to remain competitive.”
